After a two week internship in March 2011, Aaron has joined Espresso’s burgeoning team as the newest Account Executive.  PR is a new direction for Aaron whose previous work includes founding and promoting the online advocacy group ‘Grow Up Australia’ in a bid to better represent gamers in the ongoing debate about Australia’s need for an R18+ classification for video and computer games.  With a strong interest in online technologies and a natural flair for communication, Aaron played a critical role in empowering the gaming community to take part in the conversation and send a consistent and mature message to media and Government officials.  Throughout his 18 months spearheading Grow Up Australia, Aaron was interviewed by journalists, met with government representatives and – together with a few colleagues – garnered a community of nearly 40,000 members.

Whilst still playing an active role in ‘Grow Up Australia’, Aaron has decided to pursue his passion for social media technologies and forge a career in public relations.  At Espresso, he’s responsible for supporting the team across daily administrative and client activities including developing social media strategies, researching and media monitoring.  With his excellent communication skills and past achievements in building and engaging an online community, Aaron’s a great asset to the team.
